SOBEWFF FoodieCon 2025 – A Feast for the Mind, But Not Quite for the Stomach

Besties, let’s talk about SOBEWFF FoodieCon Event! This past Saturday February 22nd, 2025 I had the chance to attend, and let me tell you—the venue was absolutely stunning! It was held at The Mandarin Hotel , South Beach Miami . The gorgeous setup, the ocean breeze, and the buzzing energy of food lovers and creators made for such a fun atmosphere.

I loved the platforms and panels, which were packed with incredible insights from industry experts. Getting a chance to see huge foodies such as Keith Lee , Kimmy Kreations , Angela Yee , and many many more. It was inspiring to hear from top chefs, influencers, and food entrepreneurs about what’s trending in the culinary world.

But now, let’s talk food… or the lack of it. For an event with “Foodie” in the name, I was expecting more variety. Unfortunately, this was the second year in a row where the food options were pretty limited, especially considering the ticket price. Waiting in long lines for a burger in the heat? Not exactly ideal. My suggestion would be to at least have 7-10 options since this is one of the smaller events . Allow food to flow as well . The event was sponsored by Starkist so 3 out of the 5 items were tuna inspired which made it very limited . The others were mini sliders , pasta and that’s it. Adding a bit more would definitely suite better .

Overall, the experience was still worth it for the networking, learning, and vibes, but I hope next year they bring more food options to match the amazing panels and atmosphere.
